LEAK

We have a water leak on our system. Our guys are working to get it fixed. Some customers may experience low to no water pressure while we work to get it fixed. There will likely be a boil water advisory for customers that lose water. We will update this post as soon as we find out more.

HYDRANT FLUSHING

Hydrant flushing is set to begin today and will be taking place throughout this week. Flushing can cause discoloration or loss of water pressure for some residents. The discoloration is not a health hazard. Customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes as staining may occur. If you experience discolored water run the cold water in all your faucets for approximately 5-10 minutes. Thank you.

Rate Increase 2025

Effective July 1, 2025, water and sewer rates will be increasing due to rising costs of operations. The commission has approved a 2.9% CPI (Consumer Price Index) increase. This is per the city ordinance that was put into place December 2021 that allows Stanford Waterworks to raise rates each year as needed in line with the yearly consumer price index.
