    LEAK - boil water advisory update

    A boil water advisory has been issued for these areas until further notice. Hwy 1247 to Rebecca Lane US 27 From 1247 to Trinity Lane We have a water leak that we are working to get resolved. Many customers in the below areas may experience low to no water pressure. Known areas affected include Rebecca Lane, HWY 1247, and part of US 27 past 1247 going toward Somerset. Trinity Lane looks to be affected as well. Customers that lose water will be under a boil water advisory once water is restored.

    HYDRANT FLUSHING

    Hydrant flushing is set to begin today and will be taking place throughout this week. Flushing can cause discoloration or loss of water pressure for some residents. The discoloration is not a health hazard. Customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes as staining may occur. If you experience discolored water run the cold water in all your faucets for approximately 5-10 minutes. Thank you.

    Rate Increase 2025

    Effective July 1, 2025, water and sewer rates will be increasing due to rising costs of operations. The commission has approved a 2.9% CPI (Consumer Price Index) increase. This is per the city ordinance that was put into place December 2021 that allows Stanford Waterworks to raise rates each year as needed in line with the yearly consumer price index.
